Mahyco Celebrates World Environment Day 2024 with a Commitment to Sustainability
Mahyco celebrated World Environment Day with a series of eco-friendly activities and initiatives across processing plants, R&D Farm and head office, showing its commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. Here’s how celebrations unfolded across our locations:
Dhanora Plant:
The Dhanora plant organized a 5 KM "Vrukshathon" walk to promote environmental health and sustainable practices. Employees and workers enthusiastically participated in the walk, and guava saplings were distributed to foster a love for tree plantations among the younger generation. Additionally, a composting pit and a water harvesting pond were inaugurated to reduce waste and conserve water, highlighting the plant's dedication to sustainable practices.
Kallakal Plant:
The Kallakal plant team united for a greener tomorrow with an awareness program and planted 20 fruit trees in the premise.
Saha Plant:
The Saha plant team led a rainwater harvest pond cleaning drive, along with a poster-making competition and an awareness program.
Dawalwadi Head Office:
The celebration at the Head Office was marked by several engaging activities. Two hundred teak trees were planted, followed by the distribution of 150 Tulsi, Rose, Mogra, and Kaner saplings to employees. Employees also participated in poster-making competition and contributed innovative ideas for the "Idea Board" focused on sustainability.
Ranebennur R&D Farm:
The Ranebennur R&D farm marked the day with an awareness program on eco-friendly practices and a tree transplantation drive, planting coconut and sapota saplings.
